The ATA (Alternative Technology Association) is an Australian organisation that promotes sustainable technologies and offers practical information and advice on energy management. I noticed on their website one article on micro wind generation in an urban environment. Off course this is one of the biggest problems in generating power from wind turbines – how to do so in an environment where the wind speed and flow can be disrupted by buildings, roof tops, trees and other tall obstacles.
