In the UK (and many other parts of the world) February is famed for one thing – and one thing only ………valentines day!

Not much else happens in the second month of the year except that one day where people who are married (or in long-term partnerships) frantically search in last minute haste for a card (or some kind of token) for the ‘better half’ while those who are single (or dating) excitedly listen out for the familiar sound of the letter box. For others it may be just another day to forget. Whatever it means to you, you can’t fail to notice it.

This February is special for Riello UPS; we have our own exciting alliance going on. It’s not so much a marriage as a consolidation of 14 years of integrating Riello UPS and AROS Engineering. Further details will be announced in due course but for UPS customers and business partners, it brings all of the manufacturing and marketing resources of the two companies into a single, leading, world-class UPS supplier. All UPS products (including those previously sold under the AROS name) will be marketed worldwide under the Riello UPS brand and all solar inverter products will be sold under the AROS Solar Technology brand.

Riello UPS has just launched the Premium Pro series from 700VA to 3kVA. The range includes new energy saving features and provides on-line power protection for critical IT servers, telecommunications, EPoS and data applications.

The Premium Pro from Riello UPS has a digitally controlled inverter to provide true on-line power protection. Coupled with a new rectifier-charger, the Premium Pro operates at 0.99 power factor; saving 10% more energy than its predecessor range and achieving an operating efficiency of 98% in full on-line mode. The UPS avoids unnecessary power consumption by sensing circuits and battery chargers. We didn’t break any champagne over the bow, but we did launch 3 new Riello vehicles onto the road last week! RUV 8, 9 & 10 are the latest additions to the fleet and will be put through their paces by Riello approved engineers across the country. To meet these demands, Riello opted to use the award winning Volkswagen Caddy.

Alongside routine service and maintenance calls, Riello’s acclaimed Platinum-level Maintenance Plan offers a 4 hour guaranteed emergency response time; so all of our vehicles need to be reliable, responsive and well-maintained in case of call-out. The new vehicles will allow us to be on-site, on time, when we’re needed with a minimum of disruption.

The Portugeuse Moto GP proved an all round winner for Riello UPS last weekend. We had over 70 people from across the world attend the weekend in Lisbon and Estoril. It wasn’t all bikes though. The weekend was split between presentations on Saturday about Riello and the new Multi Plus UPS, a special banquet on Saturday night attended by Ducati personnel and followed by a full day at the race track on Sunday. Whether you were a motorbike fan or not, the whole weekend was an absolute winner for all concerned.
